The future is now.

You ARE the media! If you've been craving that video iPod, Sandy George at The Australian digs up such a prime rationalization for buying one — George talks to filmmaker Rohan Michael Hoole, who's headed to Berlin with his film "Lovely Scary Wolves." Last year, he apparently loaded his iPod with the trailer for his first, and at the time unfinished, film "Court of Lonely Royals," and corralled dozens of people at the festival into watching it. One of them picked up the film for US distribution. See, it's such a career necessity! Plus, what else are you going to do with all of those Biography Channel specials you downloaded? Oh, Mikhail Gorbachev, you crazy coot.

Also somewhat tech-related: Filmmaker Chuck Olsen offers his feature-length documentary on blogs, aptly titled "Blogumentary," for your free online viewing pleasure here.

And LA Magazine's Stephen Rodrick dedicates a whole feature to "[h]ow two middle-aged, apartment-dwelling, Hollywood-obsessed rivals are quietly–and not so quietly–transforming the Oscar race." Yes, that would be the web's own David Poland and Jeffrey Wells. Er, in L.A., is "apartment-dwelling" now a slur?

I wish I played a security guard in "Batman," but alas, that's a different guy. :-)

Thanks for the link!

You are not the first to suffer from my overeager IMDb-ing of the world. I'm sure you would have made a great Gotham secuty guard, though, given the opportunity.
