Well, when you're dead, you don't have to pay the bills.
Kyle Smith, New York Post: "After Max von Sydow played chess with Death in 'The Seventh Seal,' he was condemned to hell: a prominent role in 'Rush Hour 3.'"
Liam Lacey, Globe and Mail: "The final nasty European is Reynard (Max von Sydow), the head of the World Court. A week after the death of Ingmar Bergman, it's disconcerting to see one of the Swedish director's favourite actors as a generic Euro-villain in a slapstick American shoot-'em-up."
Christy Lemire, AP: "Max von Sydow co-stars as the head of the World Criminal Court, who may or may not have international harmony in mind. If Ingmar Bergman hadn't just died, this probably would have killed him."
Sean P. Means, Salt Lake City Tribune: "(There's no truth to the story that Von Sydow invited his old mentor Ingmar Bergman to the premiere, but Bergman took the easy way out.)"
Manohla Dargis, New York Times: There, rather depressingly, Roman Polanski shows up wearing a mustache and a smirk to harass Mr. Chan’s and Mr. Tucker’s characters, who are globetrotting after some villains. Max von Sydow also pops up for a few scenes, a reminder that Ingmar Bergman really is dead.
+ KUNG FOOEY (NY Post)
+ Same old formula, but where's the Rush? (Globe and Mail)
+ Review: Third `Rush Hour' is lazy, flat (AP)
+ Review: 'Rush Hour 3': We'd rather be stuck in traffic (Salt Lake Tribune)
+ It’s Tucker vs. Chan, Round 3 (NY Times)

r.kelly urinates on child!
from wikipedia,
"None of the prior reports reached the level of publicity that followed the release of a video tape in February 2002 that allegedly showed Kelly and a 14-year-old daughter of an associate, and niece of Sparkle, a former Kelly protégé, engaging in sex.[4] The tape, released by an unknown source, was sent to the Chicago Sun-Times, the newspaper that broke the story. While witnesses have identified the alleged victim, the girl and her parents have denied that she is the person shown on the tape. Kelly has also denied that he is the man in the video.[4]
Bootleg copies of that tape became widely available on the black market and over file sharing networks. The tape showed numerous sex acts, including the girl being urinated upon. In June 2002, Kelly was indicted in Chicago for 21 counts of having sex with a minor, which were later reduced to soliciting a minor for child pornography, seven counts of videotaping the acts, and seven counts of producing child pornography. These charges came after viewing the tapes showed that there was no actual sexual intercourse involved. Kelly still faces 14 of the charges.
why do you promote this guy?

rigo,
We draw a distinction between artists and their art. There are many artists whose work remains relevant, despite less than ideal aspects of their personal lives. Much of their work airs on tv and plays in theaters every day.
Trapped In The Closet is a piece of work with an enormous following, that demands to be seen. It's a unique cultural phenomena that transcends the personality of its creator - that is why IFC is airing the piece on tv and online - for the audience, not for the artist.
You should also keep in mind, that everyone is entitled to their day in court, even the accused.
